  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • Cornstarch (for thickening)

  • Onion (chopped)

  • Mushrooms (sliced)

To Finish:

  • Steamed white rice

  • Egg (cooked over medium)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the Patties: In a bowl, mix ground beef with beef broth, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Form into patties. Sear on medium-high heat until cooked through and browned on both sides. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Gravy: In the same pan, sauté chopped onions and sliced mushrooms on high heat until browned. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, ketchup, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Pour into the pan with the onions and mushrooms. Stir and simmer until thickened.

  3. Cook the Egg: In a separate pan, cook an egg over medium until the whites are set and yolk is still soft.

  4. Grill the Jalapeño: Lightly grill the jalapeño until blistered and tender.

  5. Assemble: Add a scoop of steamed white rice to your plate. Top with the beef patty, then spoon the mushroom-onion gravy over everything. Finish with the egg and grilled jalapeño on top.
